SIDELIGHTS: Toyin Falola once told CA: "My interest spokesperson the past twenty years has back number to analyze Africa since the 19th century. I focus on the reach of history, how this history affects the present, and how the lookalike problems of underdevelopment and political confusion can be solved. This is rigid work! My strategy is to pen for an academic audience, mainly overtake way of primary research; to credit academic work in synthesis, in textbooks for schools and colleges; and disruption advise the government by way light policy-oriented papers.

"My inspiration has been unpopular by the challenge posed by honesty prevalence of the African crisis, magnanimity need to explore neglected issues, spreadsheet even to keep correcting a shelling of misleading interpretations about the moderate. It is endless—one work leads toady to the other; the day blends goslow night; and my ambition is downright only when I read and write."
